Now that the Prime Minister, David Cameron, has declared his
Jesus complex to the nation and has decreed that The Big Society is God’s work,
I think it is only fair to uncover what The Big Society really means to its
proponents.
The Big Society should really be more accurately named as
the ‘why oh why, do we have to spend money helping poor people when that money
could be spent on me and my children instead’ Society. It is a cunning plan where
government funds can be redirected to the disadvantaged, or, as we know them,
the aspiring middle classes, rather than being used to help the undeserving
lower classes and those of poor diction who will have to fall back on the
support of the charitable few, a fast disappearing section of society, who
still care about the plight of others and those who are without. Tory’s like to
refer to these people who have the audacity to help others as ‘bleeding heart
liberals’ because these ‘bleeding heart liberals’ have the temerity to care
about the plight of others and, in the eyes of a Tory, that is a character
trait that is not only incomprehensible, but also deeply flawed.
Britain is being quickly turned back into a nation of bitter and
twisted individuals who spend their time fretting about other people who may be
getting something for free when they actually think, hypocritically, that free ‘something’ should be given to them as well as morphing back into a nation where openly flaunting racist, sexist, homophobic, misogynistic and disgusting dark age views about the disabled is becoming acceptable again.
I illustrate this attitude by relating a call made to a BBC radio show. Admittedly this is only anecdotal but, none the less, its give the reader an idea of the mindset that is beginning to poison the society we live in. The caller rang to complain that she had to pay for school trips and school equipment for her children that previously she had not had to pay for and that she had visited another local school, attended by less well off students and children with an immigrant ancestry ,and had noted, presumably with extreme annoyance, that some of their equipment was quite new. So instead of directing her ire at a government that is pouring millions into an ideologically driven Academy and Free School programme while starving locally maintained schools of funds, she decided it was because a school containing children of the lower classes, that had new books and a recently resurfaced playground, was the reason she had had to shell out for a trip to a local farm or museum for her child or children. She might as well have gone the whole nine yards and indignantly complained that she had visited a school for poor kids and noticed that in some of the classrooms there were chairs. "Yes that’s right, poor children were being allowed to sit down while they were learning, disgraceful". She might as well screamed jealously. In fact you got the distinct feeling that, if given the chance, she would have gone on and complained that not only did the classrooms have chairs but they also had doors, walls and ceilings. ""Yes that right, outrageously, poor children were actually being educated indoors" she would probably have bellowed before continuing "and this was in October, it wasn't even winter, when at the school her children attended, when little Influenza and Dustbin Lid have their school lunch, because of cutbacks, they were no longer being served a starter and the wine list has been greatly reduced". I mean really, the inhumanity, the deprivation.

Now admittedly the example I have used is somewhat
exaggerated but within it is contained a kernel of truth, an idea of the poisonous
seed that is being planted within British society by a Tory government as they
implement their policy of Divide and Rule and Misdirection. Where sections and
classes within society are turned against each other, using misinformation,
lies and noxious propaganda, in an effort to throw up a toxic smokescreen so
that the electorate do not notice the true failings of the government’s London-centric
economic policy, where all the wealth is being absorbed by London and the south
east, economic growth is being fuelled by an unsustainable housing bubble and increasing personal debt and
The Big Society is just a cobbled together policy now being dressed up as some sort of
quasi Christian doctrine, whose real purpose is to shrink back the state and
funnel any wealth into the bank accounts of a tax avoiding elite and already
wealthy few.
The irony of Cameron attempting to misappropriate the
beliefs of Jesus is,of course, that
Jesus lived by a socialist ideologue and due to his teachings, was the instigator, albeit unknowingly, of Liberation Theology, whereas
Cameron is the antithesis of those beliefs and actually believes in a ‘looking
after number one’ theology, or, as he likes to call it, The Big Society.
Victorian? No Elizabethan.
"hours of work will be advised by the visitor manager and will be dependent upon the requirements for retail assistants".
I wonder which employer imposes these zero hour contract conditions on their employees. Where the employee has no idea from week to week how much work they will get and if they will earn enough to pay the bills and cloth and feed their children I expect it is some cruel and heartless mill owner or perhaps an 18th century coal baron or maybe it is some feudal landowner from the 17th century, keeping the serfs in their place and letting them know how worthless and expendable he considers them to be.
Actually it's Queen Elizabeth II. That supposedly benign ruler. She's the feudal landowner letting the serfs know how worthless and expendable they are. The Queen.

Oscar Pistorius Trial.
The Pistorious trial is nothing more than an exercise in salacious voyeurism where the murder of a young woman, by a so-called 'celeb', is being turned into prime time entertainment for the goggle-eyed masses.Court cases should not be televised. The execution of justice is not an entertainment medium for the drooling knuckle-draggers.
Note to Politicians.
House price inflation is a BAD! thing for society. House price deflation would be a GOOD! thing for society. Land prices reduced, higher rate (70%) of income tax introduced and the introduction of a wealth tax equals a fairer society.
Another Holiday!
I see politicians are on holiday again ( how many weeks this time? 3..4..?). Although, having read about the sordid and tawdry late night shenanigans that apparently go on at the Houses of Parliaments tax payer subsidised bars, involving male MP's, some married, and the sexual harassment of male researchers, I daresay many MP's are gagging to get away from their family and back with their loved ones. And do we have to be subjected to posed PR pictures of the Prime Minister on holiday in casual wear and his extremely dull wife. There is one photograph doing the rounds with him WEARING SHORTS!. It's bad enough having to put up with his manboobs without having to look at his chicken legs. Furthermore, what is he doing in Lanzarotte anyway? aren't the Russians currently invading Ukraine.
Justice ?
Nigel Evans, the homosexual Tory Member of Parliament, recently acquitted of rape allegations, is complaining that because of the introduction of the Legal Aid, Sentencing, and Punishment of Offenders Act, legal aid has been massively reduced, leaving him with a legal bill of £130,000.
WELL HE SUPPORTED IT!! So what's his problem.
It demonstrates how ill thought out these Tory policies are and how detached the Tory toffs are from the real world as they allow ideologue to triumph over advice from experts. It's only when one of their own is affected that they start to realise the injustice and unfairness of their ideologically driven policies and then they start whining and complaining.
The irony is delicious.

More Tory Lies and The Welsh NHS.
Before Cameron went off on his jolly with horse face he made a disgraceful speech about the WNHS (Welsh National Health Service), on the border between Wales and England, stating that on the English side was life and the Welsh side meant death ( yes the Prime Minister of Great Britain and Northern Ireland actually said that IN PUBLIC!).
If anybody can be bothered to read the report on all four health services within the United Kingdom, released recently by The Nuffield Trust, they will see that there is no difference in the quality of care giving by any of the services and this is just another example of disgusting Tory lies and dogma as they attempt to undermine the NHS in the eyes of the public while the Tory's and their Libdem quislings continue to privatise it. The main suspects, as well as the ham-faced Cameron, in these inaccurate, vitriolic and fear mongering attacks on the best invention the world has ever seen, are the oily health secretary and News International representative Jeremy Hunt, The so-called internet entrepreneur and current Tory party chairman Michael Green Grant Shaaps and some nonentity called David Jones, who apparently is the Secretary of State for Wales. These people bring shame upon a nation with their continual lying and their public utterances are looking more and more like something not dissimilar to a Nuremberg rally.
"Life is something that happens to you while you are busy planning other things".
