Hate, Hate, Hate and Victimhood.

When the issue of Scottish independence was first raised, and a referendum date was set, my initial reaction was ‘yes, go for it Scotland’. But having witnessed the pathetic and juvenile campaign run by the YES Campaign, with their constant blaming of the Tories/English for everything bad that has ever happened to them, the attitude of everything will change but nothing will change, and the hubristic attitude from  Alec Salmond and Nicola Sturgeon, that what they want, they expect to get, like a couple of spoilt children, I have just got very tired and extremely bored of all of it.
The anti English sentiment, as the Scots relentlessly portray themselves as victims of English repression, is not only tiresome and predictable but also somewhat mendacious. It is interesting, that although the Scots continue this ‘Braveheart’ inspired hatred of the English, the two nations within the United Kingdom who do have a justified reason to despise the English, Wales and Ireland, seem to have predominately decided to get on with their lives.
Wales, after all, was invaded and oppressed by the English, who then proceeded to make the welsh language illegal, loot the land of its riches, and introduced a cultural apartheid. Even these crimes pale when you consider the crimes committed during the plantation of Ireland by the English and the Scots!, the war crimes committed by Cromwell and his army and the genocide committed during The Irish Potato Famines, due to a mixture of ignorance, incompetence, prejudice and outright evil from Westminster politicians .
Yet it’s the Scots, as previously pointed out, the perpetrators of some of these colonial crimes, who seem to enjoy languishing in a perpetual state of victimhood, blaming the English for all their woes and ills. Most Scottish anti English sentiment, although not all, is really anti-Tory sentiment, but because it is such a deep rooted ingrained hatred, many Scots, the cybernats in particularly, seem to have difficulty rationalising their hatred as they glower across the border through a veil of red mist shrouded prejudice. There are many, many people living in England, who hate and despise the Tories as much, if not more and with greater justification, than the Scots  ( read previous blogs), but do not have the luxury of their own parliament or even a regional assembly, Yet it's seems to always be the Scots who are sulking in the corner with their arms folded.
However the aspect of the campaign that at first unsettled me but now sickens and disgusts me is the bile, the hate, the vitriol and, most repugnant of all, the racism being spewed out by the Yes Campaigners, the repulsive so-called trolling cybernats and their celeb/politico cohorts.
The disgusting and bilious attacks on author JK Rowling, in particular, have been abhorrent and repugnant, but it would appear, that anybody who puts their head above the parapet in favour of remaining within the United Kingdom is subjected to a disgusting tirade of abuse and filth.
The racism is a particular concern. Anybody walking through any city, town or village in England, wearing a Scottish football jersey would, I can quite confidently predict, suffer no harassment at all. But an Englishman would be insane to walk through Glasgow or Edinburgh or anywhere in Scotland, wearing an England shirt, due to the  near certainty that they would be abused, spat at, and probably attacked. The perpetrators of this abuse are a disgrace and should be ashamed. Get a grip and act like grownups. Stop acting like a lot of stereotypical English hating jocks with massive chips on your shoulders.
As previously stated, it has been noticeable that during the referendum campaign, very few high profile individuals have come out in favour of remaining in the Union and, seeing the disgraceful and revolting filth and abuse JK Rowling has been subjected to, I think we can all see why. The offensive and obnoxious cybernats are nothing short of scum. “Instead of picking on a world renown author who is very socially aware, tough guys, why don’t you ‘grow a pair’, get out of your bedrooms and try and do something positive with your lives Losers!”...... Yeah, there you go, a bit of online abuse you! can chew on."
Personally I think the game is up for the nationalists and the referendum result will be a 63%/37% split in favour of staying in the union. I think many people are fearful of declaring their true intentions of voting no, so are keeping them close to their chest because of the threatening and intimidatory actions and responses of the nationalists, and come referendum day they will quietly vote for staying in the Union, and probably remain silent after the referendum as well, due to the predictably rabid response from the nationalists as they seek reprisals.
I think many voters now see the Scottish Nationalists as small minded purveyors of a smoke and mirrors nirvana built on nothing but hatred towards the English, and if the hubristic Scots Nationalists did achieve independence they fear Scotland would very quickly descend into a Northern European Greece.
As I originally stated, I was in favour of Independence for Scotland, but due to the nationalists antics and the never ending bile and vitriol directed at anybody who should have the temerity to voice an opposing view, I don't believe they are worthy or deserving of it.

Food Bank Hating Tories.
In a blatant and fascistic attempt to close down free speech and cover up government incompetence, Andrew Selous, aide to God’s emissary on earth, Employment Secretary Iain Duncan Smith, has threatened the food bank charity The Trussell Trust, that the government will shut the charity down if it continued to speak out and campaign about poverty and hunger in Britain. No surprise then, that the Tories should put their own interests ahead of starving children.
Also, in another example of underhand methods by the Department of Work and Pensions, to cover up government ineptitude, it has changed it food bank referral system so that reasons for referrals, such as benefit backlogs, cannot be traced back to the government. Yet another example of Tory deceit.

Brazil Win World Cup.
2015 FIFA World Cup winners Brazil won their first match of the tournament on Friday. You may think I’m being somewhat presumptuous, but after the performance of the Japanese referee I think all the other teams involved might as well pack their bags, hand the cup to Brazil, and go home.

Government Endorsements??
Although Labour leader, Ed Milliband, was badly advised when he naively had a picture taken of himself holding up the tabloid rag, The Sun, when you consider the views of many Labour voters and their loathing of the scum rag owned by Murdoch’s News International, that isn't the question we should be asking. The question is, why was Miliband, as well as the Prime Minister, Cameron and Deputy Prime Minster, Nick Clegg, involving themselves in the endorsement of a newspaper. I didn’t realise they were available for hire for marketing and advertising campaigns.

"It's not me, it's you".
